Passengers waiting for planes, trains, boats and buses frequently collect and wait in bus stops, train platforms, and other waiting areas sharing germs from their mouths and clothes, especially on rainy and cold days.
By installing a Safety Canopy from the ceiling of the bus or train stop, you can provide passive PPE, (personal protection that does not require voluntary actions by the person using it) to create an effective layer of protection around the people underneath and help protect them
The Safety Canopy works by pulling the dirty germ-filled air into its housing to filter it. Its Air-Cleaning BlowerTM (ACB) filters the contaminated air by separating out dust particles, respiratory droplets, rain and other debris and ejecting them from the air. The cleaned air then flows through an optional HEPA filter element, if needed, to remove additional germs, diesel particulates, and other tiny contaminants. The Air-Cleaning BlowerTM then flows the air gently out of the bottom of the Safety Canopy to provide clean air to those underneath.
This cone of air surrounding the people, provides an effective layer of protection for them and also helps protect the people near them. This cone of HEPA-filtered air, which is gently pressurized so that it moves outward as it flows downward, helps to block the entry into itself of air exhaled by others toward the driver. It also captures many of the respirated particles that penetrate the cone and carries them down and away from his or her face. As an added benefit, the cone captures germs and other respiratory droplets exhaled by passengers and pushes them downward and safely away from the faces of others.
In addition, every germ removed from the atmosphere of the train or bus by the Safety Canopy helps reduce the concentration of germs, dust and other contaminants throughout the entire space as a room air purifier would.
Air Cleaning Blowers, LLC reduces maintenance and other operating costs by using its industrial and military-grade Air Cleaning BlowersTM (ACB). ACBs clean and blow air without using filter media, and they remove dust, pollen, respiratory droplets, mist, rain and millions of other particles. Hence, they blow cleaned air without the need for maintaining filter cartridges, sheets or other filter media. If the system includes a post filter, such as a HEPA element, the ACB greatly extends its life by removing the large debris that clogs them quickly. By utilizing ACBs instead of pre-filter media in the Safety Canopies, ACBs eliminate their clogging. Without the clogging, Air-Cleaning BlowersTM can assure station and other designers of a constant and predictable airflow, air pressure and energy consumption.
In some cases, the full protection of Protective Canopies is not necessary to keep the workers and passengers safe. In such cases, just installing an Air-Cleaning BlowerTM to clean and blow air into the completely or partially-enclosed space will change the air frequently enough to reduce the concentration of respiratory droplets and aerosols to reduce the health risks of bringing waiting people together.
Passengers often gather and wait in bus stops, train platforms, and other waiting areas, sharing germs from their mouths and clothes, particularly on rainy and cold days.
- Installing a Safety Canopy from the ceiling of bus stops, train platforms, and other waiting areas provides passive personal protection (PPE) for passengers, creating an effective barrier against shared germs from mouths and clothes, especially on rainy and cold days. This ensures protection for individuals underneath without requiring voluntary actions from them.
HOW THE SAFETY CANOPY WORKS
- The Safety Canopy operates by drawing in dirty, germ-filled air into its housing for filtration. Its Air-Cleaning Blower™ (ACB) separates out dust particles, respiratory droplets, rain, and other debris before ejecting them. Cleaned air passes through an optional HEPA filter element for additional germ and particulate removal, if necessary. Finally, the Air-Cleaning Blower™ gently releases the purified air from the bottom of the Safety Canopy, providing clean air to those underneath.
- The surrounding cone of HEPA-filtered air provides an effective layer of protection for individuals and helps safeguard those nearby. Gently pressurized to flow outward as it descends, this cone blocks incoming air exhaled by others toward the individuals. It also captures many respirated particles, carrying them away from the face.
- Additionally, the cone captures germs and respiratory droplets exhaled by passengers, diverting them downward and away from others’ faces, thus enhancing overall safety. Furthermore, every germ removed from the atmosphere by the Safety Canopy helps reduce the concentration of germs, dust, and other contaminants throughout the entire space, similar to a room air purifier.
