Why ACBs

THE ACB DIFFERENCE

Check mark 4

Clean air with virtually no maintenance for months or even years

No filter element maintenance

Check mark 4

Install as easy as other ventilation, pressurization, and exhaust units

Can remove particles that ODHA and other regulators prohibit exhausting into the outside atmosphere

  • Will clean air with virtually no maintenance for months or even years in normal operations, even under dusty, hot, cold, corrosive and other harsh conditions.

  • No fan/filter-element maintenance means no deferred maintenance—and the surprises and costs it can bring

  • ACBs install like other intake blowers into air curtains, pressurizers, pre-heating, and other systems, supplying cleaned air at a steady flow rate and static pressure.

  • ACBs are easier to design into systems than media or cyclonic air filters with separate blowers because they are single-piece, all-inclusive units and because ACBs provide steadier, more predictable performance through their constant airflow, air pressure and energy consumption.

  • ACBs can remove particles that OSHA and other regulators prohibit exhausting into the outside atmosphere

  • No pressurized air required for cleaning as regularly required by “self-cleaning” air filters that use a separate supply of pressurized air blown  into them to remove accumulated debris and which contain filter bags or cartridges that must eventually be replaced.

THE ACB DIFFERENCE

  • In contrast, ACBs don’t experience pressure build-up over time; they consistently deliver steady pressure, airflow, and electrical consumption from the day of installation onwards.
  • This consistency offers a significant advantage when sizing the unit. Designers can rely on Air-Cleaning BlowerTM to deliver consistent performance, eliminating the need to oversize the unit to compensate for fluctuations or ensure that the minimum air requirements of the application, even when the filter media is most clogged.
  • ACBs deliver the essential combination of clean air and efficient air movement needed to pressurize control rooms, operator cabs, electrical substations, offices, and other dust-sensitive enclosures situated in sandy, dusty, and challenging environments.

  • Specially designed stand-alone (free-standing) ACBs purify air in open areas or large indoor spaces like dusty factory floors, construction sites, or tunnels, typically to provide clean air to specific locations or individuals.

  • Sand and other particles extracted from the air are expelled back into the environment or onto the ground. By releasing these particles back into the surrounding air, where purification isn’t necessary, ACBs prevent the accumulation of waste that users would otherwise need to dispose of.
    • This is particularly advantageous if the collected quantities are significant enough to qualify as “hazardous waste,” which may require special handling and be costly to dispose of.
  • Made to resist corrosion and abrasion, standard industrial cabinets made with stainless steel (type 304 or 316).

  • Complete units meet normally meet NEMA 4X and IP56 standards.  All controls provided protected in NEMA 4X (IP66) or NEMA 4/7/9 enclosures.

  • Units available for hazardous locations (“explosion-proof”) — Classes I, II, and III, Divisions/Zones 1 or 2.

  • Standard electrical configurations available: 115/60/1, 208-230/50-60/1, 208-230/50-60/3, 460/60/3 and 380/50/3. Others are options.

  • Energy efficient even under harsh conditions, because static pressure and energy does not increase over time.
